Website & atelier
Terms of Service
These Terms explain the conditions for using this website and communicating with Your Personal Seamstress. Service-specific details may also be provided in an estimate, invoice or other written agreement.
Who we are
Your Personal Seamstress is a bridal alterations, bespoke dressmaking and pattern-construction atelier operated by Juliia Kovryga in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada.
These Terms apply to the website and to communications made through connected services such as Facebook and Instagram.
Using this website
You may use this website to learn about the atelier, view selected work and contact us. You agree not to misuse the site, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access or use its content for unlawful purposes.
The website is provided for general information. Availability, timelines, pricing and the suitability of a service are confirmed only after direct consultation.
Appointments & services
Alterations and custom garments are accepted by appointment and subject to capacity, timing, materials and the condition of the garment. You are responsible for providing accurate event dates, attending scheduled fittings and communicating relevant changes promptly.
The agreed scope, price, payment schedule and estimated completion date may be recorded in an estimate, invoice or message. Changes to the design, materials, fit, condition, scope or deadline may require a revised price or timeline.
Deposits & payment
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, a 50% deposit is required to reserve work and is non-refundable once accepted, except where applicable law requires otherwise. The remaining balance is due according to the written payment terms provided for the service.
A deposit may be applied to time already spent, materials ordered and appointment capacity reserved. Any cancellation or refund rights provided by applicable consumer protection law continue to apply and are not limited by these Terms.
Fit, materials & care
Garment fit may be affected by body changes, footwear, undergarments or accessories used between fittings. Please bring the intended shoes and foundational garments when requested.
Existing garments, vintage pieces and delicate materials may have hidden weaknesses or construction limits. We will discuss known concerns before proceeding, but cannot guarantee against every issue inherent in a garment or material supplied by a client.
Messages & third parties
Messages sent through Facebook, Instagram or other third-party services are also governed by those platforms' terms and privacy practices. Automated tools may assist with message translation or routing, but service decisions are confirmed by the atelier.
Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, security or availability.
Content & intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the website's text, branding, layout and original images are owned by or used with permission of Your Personal Seamstress. You may not reproduce or use them commercially without prior written permission.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Your Personal Seamstress is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the website or third-party services. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. Instructions for requesting deletion of personal data are included there.
Changes & governing law
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada, without limiting any mandatory consumer rights.
